WP2 – Holistic monitoring and data-acquisition solutions

Key achievements:

  • Installation and testing of Smart Sensor Box
  • Start and progress in the development of mid-layer
  • Progress in platform installation and first tests in AB of the WINGS platform
  • Progress in the installation of additional sensors to the demo sites

WP3 – Holistic monitoring and data-acquisition solutions

Key achievements:

  • All WP3 deliverables but one submitted
  • Fine-tuning of DTP functionalities
  • Preliminary DTP integration into ECOFACT UI
  • First test to send AB energy models’ output to Data Broker via Kafka

Deliverables submitted:

  • D3.1 – Material-Flow Simulation for predictive management of manufacturing process data
  • D3.3 – Dynamic optimization for energy- and cost-efficient operations management
  • D3.4 – Adapted algorithms library for production planning
  • D3.5 – Industrial energy disaggregation module Description and development tests
  • D3.6 – Algorithms for Industrial energy flexibility and management of generation assets
  • D3.10 – Integrated energy and production digital twins for ECOFACT demo cases

WP4Dynamic LCA/LCCA module and value chain data integrations

Key achievements:

  • Integration efforts for AHP algorithm together with WP5
  • Preparations for wrapper configurations for Athenian Brewery, mapping data from the data broker to SimaPro parameters and defining the final list of manual inputs together with WP5.
  • Input to WP5 about LCA/LCC dashboard (2 iterations)
  • Further developments in the integration of the AHP algorithm  
  • Further testing of the wrapper module to be used for regular calls to the LCA/LCCA module 

WP5ECOFACT platform and ICT framework development

Key achievements:

  • Completed the development of the ECOFACT Data Broker, ECOFACT APIs and ECOFACT Common Data and Knowledge Repository
  • Completed the development of the Holistic Decision Support Tool
  • Completed a first version of the Dashboard for the Athenian Brewery pilot
  • Proposed a first security by design architecture
  • Started the implementation of the ECOFACT platform, integrating the solutions developed by WP2, WP3, WP4 and WP5

Deliverables submitted:

  • D5.3 – Report on ECOFACT APIs for enabled service communication
  • D5.4 – ECOFACT holistic Decision-Support System. Algorithms and test
  • D5.5 – ECOFACT dashboard. Description and User Guide
  • D5.6 – Mechanisms to bridge the cybersecurity gap
  • D5.7 – Follow up of the ECOFACT development process and fine tuning. Interim report

WP6Demonstration

Key achievements:

  • Ongoing hardware installation in ECOFACT demo sites
  • Completed the description of the ECOFACT use cases
  • Completed installation of Smart Sensor Box in E3 pre-demonstration facility 
  • Adaptation of Digital Model – Completed test of eniBric module for E3 pre-demonstration facility 
  • Completed the development of an energy disaggregation module in CIM 4.0 pre-demonstration facility

WP7 – Standardization, certification and regulation of energy efficient manufacturing

Key achievements:

  • Interaction with technical committees within the European and International standardization system to inform them on ECOFACT Project´s purpose.
  • Launching of standardization survey to ECOFACT partners. Analysis of results
  • Interaction with FLEXINDUSTRIES as new sister Project

WP8 – Replication and Exploitation

Key achievements:

  • T8.1 Identification of the Early Adopters to perform the feasibility study (4 provided by Veolia and located in Spain, 1 provided by One Team and located in the USA)
  • D8.1 ToC and inclusion of the first Early Adopter (one of the Veolia group) preliminary analysis has been performed
