Fraunhofer IPT, as part of the ECOFACT project, have created an industrial internet of things (IIoT) smart sensor platform aimed at monitoring the efficiency of photovoltaic systems. This technology was specifically designed for the Arcelik demo site in the project.
To ensure the platform was fully operational, Fraunhofer IPT initially installed the system at the Fraunhofer IWU E3-Research factory. This move enabled the team to test the capabilities and limitations of the system.
Throughout the months of April and May, Fraunhofer IPT will conduct extensive trial tests on the system to further enhance its functionality before installing it at the Arcelik facilities. These test trials will enable the team to gather accurate data and identify any areas of improvement required to enhance the efficiency of the system.
